I became a dentist through my own childhood experiences of having so many cavities.
I remember enjoying sweets often and pretended brushing (or lied to my parents at times that I
brushed) but often went to bed without brushing my teeth. When I was only 9 years old, I had my first
root canal on my permanent molar! Luckily, my uncle was my dentist and he treated me out of pain
that I still remember to this day how painful a toothache could be!
I came to US from South Korea in 1988 as a junior in High school and received Bachelor in Science in
Biochemistry from UCLA in 1994 and obtained Doctor in DentalSurgery(DDS) from School
of Dentistry at UCLA in 1998.
Now married with 4 children, Nathan, James, Helen and Paul, I enjoy family life very much by
traveling, nature hiking, scuba diving, and skiing.
